Did you know that 80% of learning problems are reading-related? Difficulties such as dyslexia or hyperlexia in reading can account for 60% of school failure.

ReadUp by Glifing is a game that improves children's reading and reading comprehension using the Glifing method. This method can benefit children with reading difficulties, regardless of whether they have dyslexia, reading disorder, ADHD, Down syndrome, specific language disorder, stuttering... as well as children who already read well but want to read more fluently. Additionally, it is a supplementary application used alongside those already used in schools to teach reading and reinforce literacy. More than 80,000 children worldwide have shown improvement through ReadUp by Glifing.

ReadUp by Glifing is designed for children between 6 and 12 years old who are learning to read or looking to enhance their skills. Children aged 4 or 5 with basic letter knowledge can also play and learn.

Available in Spanish and Catalan.

ReadUp by Glifing is divided into reading levels. When starting the game, a level test is conducted to determine the child's reading proficiency level. This level is independent of the school year, allowing learning and improvement based on the child's actual level.

Within each reading level, there are islands with 30 missions to complete. The friendly ReadUp dragon accompanies the player throughout all missions, serving as their buddy and providing guidance for parents or tutors on how to complete each task.

• A mission incorporates all phases of the Glifing method:
  1. Phonological reading route: Trains decoding through the reading of pseudo-words.
  2. Lexical reading route: Trains recognition of frequent words globally.
  3. Memory training: Strengthens memory by enhancing phonological trace and visual memory.
  4. Reading comprehension: Requires understanding within the context of previous mission activities.

In each mission, up to 3 stars can be earned based on correct completions in the preceding activities.

At the end of a mission, there is a mini-game where players feed the dragon. Here, players can also earn gems based on performance.

Stars and gems can be used to customize the dragon at the ReadUp dragon store. The more Missions completed, the more fun customizations can be performed on the dragon.

We believe parents or tutors play an essential role in children's education; hence, activities in lexical and morphological routes within each mission require parental supervision. In cases where joint participation is not possible, the tutor mode can be disabled with those missions marked with an exclamation point to indicate where parental involvement is needed for completion. Although automatic voice recognition methods exist, we advocate for enhancing parent-child relationships.
